It should be noted that a gas water heater is a gas appliance that uses gas as fuel. It transfers heat to cold water flowing through the heat exchanger by combustion to produce hot water. Operating Instructions for Gas Water Heaters
- 1.First, plug in the power supply of the gas water heater. The rated voltage is generally 220V.
- 2.Then turn on the switch of the gas pipeline connected to the water heater.
- 3.Press the power button on the control panel of the gas water heater. The digital display will show the temperature and fire power.
- 4.Adjust the fire power and water temperature by pressing the up or down arrow keys.
- 5.Turn the faucet toward the hot water side (faucets are usually marked red for hot water and blue for cold water). The gas water heater will ignite automatically. You may also adjust the outlet water temperature by rotating the faucet handle. Turn the handle fully toward the red mark for hotter water, and the opposite direction for cold water.
Precautions for Using Gas Water Heaters
- 1.Operate the gas water heater strictly in accordance with the user manual. Check whether the water heater burns normally during operation. Follow the operating sequence: turn on water first, then gas; after use, turn off gas first, then water.
- 2.Keep doors and windows open or turn on the exhaust fan while the gas water heater is in use. Combustion requires sufficient air. Insufficient air supply may lead to oxygen deficiency or carbon monoxide poisoning. Avoid continuous use for an extended period. Leave proper intervals if multiple people take showers consecutively.
- 3.Regularly inspect the nozzle, ignition electrode and flame sensing electrode. Carbon deposits tend to build up on these components after long-time use and may hinder ignition. Inspect and clean them timely.
- 4.Replace vulnerable parts in the control system on schedule. Carry out regular inspection of the control system. Promptly repair the unit if system failure or slow response occurs. Drain residual water after each use. For water heaters with removable side panels, perform descaling and replace sealing gaskets as required.
- 5.If you smell gas or see flame leakage during operation, it indicates gas leakage from the water heater or gas pipeline. Stop using it immediately, close the gas valve and open windows and doors to avoid hazards. Do NOT use open flames or operate electrical switches, and unplug electrical appliances. Contact professional maintenance personnel for repair without delay.
- 6.In winter, drain all residual water inside the unit after each use following the manual instructions to prevent damage caused by freezing.
- 7.Gas water heaters have a service life of generally 6 to 8 years. Units beyond the service life are prone to accidents and must be replaced.
